Something to think about
One road leads to God; the other leads away from God.
Something to experience
You will be blessed when you stay off the path of sinners and instead stay in the Word of God.

Psalm 1:1-2 (WEB) Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the Lord’s law. On His law he meditates day and night.

Psalm 2 Theme
A psalm written not only for the coronation of a king of Israel but for our future king, Christ Jesus.

Oh! Wow! Lord, You are the Anointed One (verse 2).
Something to think about
Not only is Christ the Anointed One, He is God’s chosen King.
Something to experience
If we choose, Christ can be King of both our heart and life. But to be ready for His return we must submit to Him every day.

Psalm 2:12 (WEB)… Blessed are all those who take refuge in Him (the Lord).

Trusting in God for protection and peace.

Oh! Wow! Lord, You are a shield around us (verse 3).
Something to think about
Sleep doesn’t always come easy, especially during a crisis.
Something to experience
We can experience a peaceful night of sleep when the Lord sustains us (verse 5).

Psalm 3:3 (WEB) But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:5 (WEB) I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for the Lord sustains me.

Rejoicing in God’s protection and peace.

Oh! Wow! Lord, we can place our confidence in You.
Something to think about
The Psalmist knew God would hear him when he called and would answer him.
Something to experience
We too can be confident God listens to our prayers. And He will answer them too.

Psalm 4:3 (WEB) … know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly: The Lord will hear when I call to Him.

God is able to defend us (v.11).

Oh! Wow! Lord, You will surround the righteous with favor (verse 12).
Something to think about
Regular communication with God helps our relationship grow (verse 7).
Something to experience
In the morning our minds are usually less cluttered with problems so we can pray unhindered by our cares (verse 3a).
