In I Kings 8:56-61 Solomon praised the Lord and prayed for the people.

Oh! Wow! Lord, Solomon’s prayer can be a pattern for us today.

Something to think about

Solomon had five requests:

1. He asked for God’s presence.

2. He asked for the desire to do God’s will always.

3. He asked for God’s help every day.

4. He asked for the desire and ability to obey God’s decrees and commands.

5. He asked for the spread of God’s kingdom to the entire world.

Something to experience

These requests are just as relevant and important today.  When we pray for our church and our family, we can pray these same requests to God.

In I Kings 9:1 After Solomon finished building the temple, the Lord appeared to Him.

Oh! Wow! Lord, You appeared to Solomon two times (verse 2).

Something to think about

The Lord made it clear to Solomon what would happen if the Israelites obeyed Him and what would happen if they didn’t.

Something to experience

God has promised us many things too, if we’ll obey Him.

Lord I pray we will seek Your presence (Acts 3:19 AMP).  I pray we will desire to do Your will always.  I ask You to help us every day to do Your will.   I ask for the desire and ability to obey Your decrees and commands.  I ask You to use each of us to spread the gospel throughout the world (I Kings 8:56-61).  In Christ Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN.

“May you share your faith with those all around you.” <>< Dona
