In I Chronicles 1-9 the official family tree of the nation of Israel is recorded. Although the lists of names show the racial heritage of the Jewish nation, they contain the spiritual heritage for every believer.
Response
Oh! Wow! Lord, we are a part of the community of faith that began with the dawn of civilization.
Something to think about
Although billions of people have lived since Adam, God knows and remembers the face and name of each of us. Stop and let that sink in.
Something to experience
Each of us are more than a name on a list, we are special people whom God knows and loves. As we recognize and accept His love, we will discover both our uniqueness as individuals and our unity with the rest of His family.

In these same chapters (1 through 9) are insight into some of those listed. Some will be remembered as contributing positively to society and some will be remembered as contributing negatively.
Response
Oh! Wow! Lord, each of us are creating a reputation, developing personal qualities, by which we will be remembered.
Something to think about
Scripture teaches that how we live our lives will determine how we will be remembered by others and how God will judge us.
Something to experience
How would you summarize your life thus far? Perhaps you would like to change some things. You still have time.

In I Chronicles 4:9-10 Jabez is said to have been more honorable than his brothers.
Response
Oh! Wow! Lord, Jabez was remembered for a prayer he prayed to You.
Something to think about
In this passage Jabez’s humble words and not any heroic actions are recorded. Jabez wanted God to be the true center of his life.
Something to experience
When we pray for God’s blessing we should also pray that He will take His rightful place as Lord over every area of our life.
