Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in God’s likeness.

Response

“Oh! Wow!” Lord we are made in Your image, in Your likeness.

Something to experience

When you are in a group this week – shopping, attending church or at another type gathering –  look around you and try not to judge anyone’s body, clothing, words or mannerism.  It’s not easy is it?  Try to see each as a person that God created in His own image. Then if you interact with them treat them accordingly. (Psalm 139:14 KJV I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.)

Genesis 6:8-10.

Response

“Oh! Wow!” Lord according to the above passage Noah was the only one walking with You. Noah was the only one who found favor in Your eyes. He was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time.

Something to experience

Lord is there any way we can experience walking with You?

Romans 5:19 KJVthrough the obedience of the one (Christ Jesus), many will be made righteous.

Galatians 3:11 KJV … the righteous will live by faith.

Ephesians 4:24 KJVand put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

Genesis 6:22  Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him.

Response

Lord I pray we will do all You command us to do.

Something to experience

Can you remember the last time you felt God moving you to do or say something?  Did you obey Him?

Genesis 7:1-24.

Response

“Oh! Wow!” Lord there is so much about this passage that is wow worthy.  Noah’s faithfulness in collecting so many animals.  You flooding the earth for forty days with rain, a substance never before seen.   The entire earth being totally covered with water for 150 days.

Something to experience

At times some of us have had floodwater in our homes and streets here in Texas but I don’t think any of us have had to take care of a multitude of animals inside an ark.  Nor stay inside an ark for 150 days. And I’m not going to suggest that either.

Lord thank You for making us in Your image. In Christ Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN. Lord I pray we will always find favor in Your eyes.  I pray we will live by faith.  I pray we will put on the new self; that is the regenerated and renewed nature. I pray we will be created in Your righteousness and Your holiness.  I pray we will live in a way that that expresses to You our gratitude for our salvation.  I pray indeed we will each experience walking with You. In Christ Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN.Lord please forgive me for any time I’ve not listened to You.  Lord please open my eyes to what You want me to do and say in every situation.
