Today I encourage you to read the following verses and listen for what God is saying to you through them. Then talk to God about what you hear Him saying.  (You can speak to Him aloud or write it out or both.) That’s what pray is – a two way conversation.  I’ve written out my prayer following the verses.

Psalm 27:1-2 World English Bible (WEB) 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation.  Whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life.  Of whom shall I be afraid?  When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

Psalm 31:1 World English Bible (WEB) In You, Lord, I take refuge.  Let me never be disappointed.  Deliver me in Your righteousness.

Psalm 33:4-5 World English Bible (WEB) For the Lord’s word is right.  All His work is done in faithfulness.  He loves righteousness and justice.  The earth is full of the loving kindness of the Lord.

Psalm 34:7 World English Bible (WEB) The Lord’s angel encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

Psalm 41:2 World English Bible (WEB) The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive.  He shall be blessed on the earth, and He will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.

Psalm 72:11 World English Bible (WEB) Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him. All nations shall serve Him.

Psalm 95:6 World English Bible (WEB) Oh come, let’s worship and bow down.  Let’s kneel before the Lord, our Maker.

Psalm 113:2 World English Bible (WEB) Blessed be the Lord’s name, from this time forward and forever more.

MY PRAYER

Lord, You are our light and our salvation.  We should not fear anyone. You are the strength of our life. We should not be afraid of anyone. For You will protect us (Psalm 27:1-2).  Lord, I pray we will take refuge in You.  For then we will not be disappointed. Lord, I ask You to deliver us (Psalm 31:1).  Lord, Your Word is right.  All You do is done in faithfulness.  Lord, I pray we will love righteousness and justice too.  Thank You for filling the earth with Your lovingkindness (Psalm 33:4-5). Lord, I pray You will send Your angels to encamp around and deliver those of us who fear You (Psalm 34:7).  Lord, I ask You to preserve us and keep us alive.  I ask You to save us from our enemies (Psalm 41:2). Lord, I pray we will bow down before and serve You (Psalm 72:11). Lord, I pray we will indeed kneel before and worship You (Psalm 95:6).  Lord, I pray we will bless Your Holy name forever (Psalm 113:2). AMEN.
