“May all Christians pray for their nation.” <>< Dona
Our nation needs prayer. Our nation is hurting right now. To whom can we turn? How about the government? They can make laws. Or how about the military? They can protect us. Or how about the educational system? They can teach us. Or how about the doctors? They can treat our sick bodies. Or how about the financial systems? They can invest our money.
None of these can take care of every area of our life. Then who can help us? Only the Lord has laws that are completely moral. Only the Lord can completely protect us. Only the Lord can teach us what is completely right. Only the Lord can completely heal us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Only the Lord can guidance us to use our money wisely.
I agree with Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.”
Scriptures to hide in your heart
Obey God’s commandments: I will hurry, and not delay, to obey your commandments (Psalm 119:60).
God will protect: But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me (Psalm 69:29).
God will teach: Show me Your ways, O Lord. Teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth, and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation, I wait for You all day long (Psalm 25:4-5). Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, (II Timothy 3:16).
God will take care of the sick: And the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:15).
God will show us where to invest our money: When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business (Luke 19:15). Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’ (Luke 19:23). He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor (Psalm 112:9). One who gives to the poor has no lack; but one who closes his eyes will have many curses (Proverbs 28:27).
