In Deuteronomy 31:5-6 the Lord promised the Israelites He would go with them and never leave them.

Response

Oh! Wow! Lord no matter what the Israelites did you were with them.

Something to think about

The Lord told the Israelites to be strong and courageous; to not be afraid or terrified. For He would be with them and He would never leave or forsake them.

Something to experience

We, Christians, can experience the Lord’s Presence with us.  He will never leave nor forsake us.

Prayer

Lord I pray we will trust You to lead us.  I pray we will obey You. I pray we will be strong and courageous.  I pray we will not be afraid or terrified by our enemies. For You will be with us and never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:5-7). In Christ Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN.

In Deuteronomy 32 the Lord gave Moses the lyrics of a song to teach to the Israelites.   And Moses recited the words of this song from beginning to end in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel.

Response

Oh! Wow! Lord You are a songwriter.

Something to think about

The song lyrics were both a review of who God was and the Israelites’ history which reflected their mistakes.

Something to experience

Our own personal history might reflect a sinful past.  Just like the Israelites, we have made mistakes. According to Zehaniah 3:17 God sings over us too.

Prayer

Lord You are our hiding place.  You are the only One who can truly protect us from trouble.  I ask You to surround us with songs and shouts of deliverance (Psalm 32:7 AMP).  I ask You to save us.  I ask You to calm us in Your love.   I pray You will rejoice over us with singing (Zephaniah 3:17 KJV).  In Christ Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN.

“Let the Lord calm you with His love.” <>< Dona
