In Deuteronomy 11-13 Moses reminded the Israelites that they could choose blessings or curses to come into their life. And that they should worship the one True God and not follow other gods.
Response
Oh! Wow! Lord You gave the Israelites the gift of free will.
Something to think about
The Lord has given us the same gift – that of a free will. God allows us to choose how we will respond to what comes into our life. He allows us to choose to listen to Him or to listen to the world.
God has the best plan for our life. It’s a plan to prosper us and not harm us. It is a plan to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
When we choose to not ask Him for help we’re opening ourselves up to other plans that may not be good. When we choose to do what isn’t good we harm not only ourselves but many times (probably most of the time) others too.
Something to experience
We can experience God’s Presence and blessings when we choose to love Him and to serve Him with all our heart and with all our soul (verse 13). When we reject God, we are rejecting His Presence and blessings in our life (verse 16). I choose to love and serve God with all my heart and my soul. How about you?
