In Numbers 33 Moses recorded the Israelites’ journey as God instructed him, providing a record of their spiritual as well as geographic progress.

Response

Oh! Wow! Lord Psalm 56:8; Psalm 69:28; Luke 10:20 all speak of You recording or writing about us Your children.

Something to think about

Why not consider journaling your spiritual progress as you read through the Bible?

Something to experience

Perhaps if you are not already, today you can begin to record your thoughts about God and lessons you are learning.  Perhaps what you’re learning can be a valuable aid to your spiritual growth.  Perhaps journaling can help you avoid repeating past mistakes too.

Prayer

Lord I pray we will seek You to direct our steps and establish our ways (Proverbs 16:9). Lord I pray we will write down any vision, dream, thoughts or words that are encouragement to us (Habakkuk 2:2).  Lord I pray we will not let mercy, kindness and truth leave us.  I pray instead we will let these qualities define us.  I pray we will write them both on our heart and in our journal (Proverbs 3:3; Proverbs 7:3). Lord I pray we will strip off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us.  I pray we will run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us.  I pray we will look away from all that could distract us and focus our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Christ Jesus for the joy set before Him endured the cross, disregarded the shame and sat down at the right hand of Your throne.  By this action Christ Jesus revealed His deity, His authority and the completion of His work (Hebrews 12:1-2).   In His name I pray.  AMEN.

“May God’s Word will reveal Christ Jesus to you.” <>< Dona
