I encourage you to read Exodus 22 through 24. Please look for and record any “Oh! Wow!” moments you discover even if I’ve not recorded them on this website. If you have time share them with me.

In Exodus 23:20-33 God told the Israelites He was sending an angel to prepare their way.

Response: “Oh! Wow!” Lord You gave the Israelites an angel to guide them to the Promised Land.

Something to think about: Though we may not have an angel guiding us, we believers have someone within us who is guiding us, the Holy Spirit.

Something to experience: Yes, if we’re truly Christians, we have the Holy Spirit within us.  He is our Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener and Standby (John 14:26).

Prayer: Lord I pray we will believe in Christ Jesus as our Savior (John 7:39).  I pray if there is anyone reading this post who doesn’t yet believe in Your Son that today they will repent; that is change their old way of thinking, turn from their sinful ways, accept and follow Your Son, Christ Jesus as the Messiah and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).  Lord I pray the Holy Spirit will remain with us continually (John 14:17). Lord I pray we will not rely on our own thoughts but will trust the Holy Spirit to speak through us (Mark 13:11). I pray we will speak Your Word with boldness and courage (Acts 4:31).  Lord I ask You to fill us with all joy and peace.  I pray we will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in all Your promises (Romans 15:13).  Lord I pray we will recognize that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within us, whom we received as a gift from You.  Therefore we are not our own property. We were bought with a price.  We were actually purchased with the precious blood of Christ Jesus and made His own.  I pray we will honor and glorify You with our body (I Corinthians 6:19).  Lord I pray we believers will consider all things.  I pray we will question, examine and apply what the Holy Spirit reveals to us (I Corinthians 2:15). Lord I pray we will know and understand the wonderful things freely given to us by You (I Corinthians 2:12). Lord I pray we will patiently persevere to the end and therefore be saved (Mark 13:13).

(More verses having to do with the Holy Spirit:  I Corinthians 12:11, 14:15; II Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:16, 5:25; Ephesians 1:18, 4:30; I Thessalonians 5:19; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 9:14; James 4:6.)

Exodus 24:4 This is just one verse but I believe it is worth noting, Moses journaled.  He wrote down everything the Lord said.

Response: “Oh! Wow!” Lord You spoke and Moses not only listened he recorded what You said to him.

Something to think about: When God says something to me, I need to record it.  I may think I’ll never forget it.  But why take the chance?

Prayer: Lord I pray all that You reveal to me I will not only hide in my heart but I’ll record for myself.  And I’ll share my journaling with others (Habakkuk 2:1-2). In Christ Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN.
