Today I encourage you to read Exodus 19 through 21. Please look for and record any “Oh! Wow!” moments you discover even if I’ve not recorded them on this website. And if you have time perhaps you could share them with me.
Exodus 19:1-6 explains God’s reason for rescuing the Israelites from slavery.
Response: “Oh! Wow!” Lord You promised the Israelites that if they would obey Your voice and keep Your covenant then they would be Your possession from among all people. And that they (the Israelites) would be to You a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.
Something to think about: According to I Peter 2:4-5 in the New Testament those of us who are Christian’s are also a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a precious people for God’s own possession.
Prayer: Lord thank You for choosing us. Thank You for accepting us as precious, living stones built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood (I Peter 2:4-5). Thank You for calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Thank You for showing mercy to us (I Peter 2:9-10). Thank You for giving us Christ Jesus as our great high priest. I pray we will draw near with boldness to the Your throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16). Thank You for reconciling us to Yourself through Christ Jesus. Thank You for giving us the ministry of reconciliation. I pray we will therefore be ambassadors and seek reconciliation on behalf of Christ Jesus (II Corinthians 5:18-21). In His name I pray. AMEN.
Exodus 20:1-17 God gave Moses the Ten Commandments to share with all the Israelites.
Response: “Oh! Wow!” Lord Your commandments cover all areas of our life.
Something to think about: If I’m honest with myself I’ve probably broken most of God’s commandments in thought, word or deed. I’m so glad God has given us a way to die to these sins and be born again into a new life.
Something to experience: If you’ve never sought forgiveness for your sins, perhaps today is the day to repent of your sins and then asked Christ Jesus to become Savior and Lord in your life.
Prayer: Lord Your Word says if we acknowledge and confess openly with our mouth that Christ Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that You raised Him from the dead we will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). I pray that all who read this will have already received Christ Jesus into their life or will ask Him into their life before leaving this website today. In the name of my Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus, I pray. AMEN.
“Just a reminder that when I pray the prayers on this website I’m praying them for you too.” <>< Dona
