“Hi! So glad you are visiting me today.” <>< Dona (01/11/20)

Today is craft day.  I’ll be sharing how to make a “Home Sweet Home” rock to remind you earth is not our home, we are just passing through.   This craft is inspired by Genesis 12:1-4 and I Corinthians 10:4.  Jesus is our Rock (I Corinthians 10:4).  And He returned to heaven to prepare our forever home (John 14:2-3). Even Abraham understood he was passing through on his way to heaven (Hebrews 11:8-10).

I Corinthians 10:4 (WEB) and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.

John 14:2-3 (WEB) In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.

Hebrews 11:8-10 (WEB)By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went. By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he looked for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

1. Find a large rock. Hopefully from your yard.

2. Wash the rock.

3. Leave it natural (if it is a light color) or paint it as I did.

4. Then write on one side “Home Sweet Home.”

5. And on the other side of the rock write “John 14:2-3.”

6. You can spray with a clear glaze.  Just be sure to use a permanent type pen to write your messages so the ink doesn’t run.

7. Place your rock where you’ll see it often.

This craft and indeed all the crafts I’ve shared on this website will hopefully remind you of what God’s Word says.  For it is God’s Word that gives us life.

“May you and I appreciate our “HOME SWEET HOME”. <>< Dona
